Most of us are living at a turtles pace with little or any strenuous physical activity. About the only thing we seem to be doing quite rapidly is gaining weight. In the U.S. we have been lucky enough to have a very easy life compared to most of the world. Today we don't have to put in as much effort physically as we used to. Nowadays most people lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle. We do less physically than we ever have and have more things to take care the day to day manual chores. When that fact is combined with the high amount of processed and preserved food that we consume, the result is all too certain.
Many people in the U.S. are obese. If you think obesity is just about looks, think again. If you carry more weight than you are supposed to you are putting yourself at risk for the big killer health issues the plague the U.S. Those being hypertension, stroke and heart disease. Being to overweight can be a costly proposition from losing out on a date to losing your life before you really need to. For this reason, many of us need to consider weight loss through a diet. Most people can't afford to spend the extra money it takes to get rid of the excess poundage so a free diet program can be a real life saver.
There are many free diet programs from which to choose. A lot of these programs are garbage. You need to weed through the chaff to find the good ones and they work best with a new healthy lifestyle. The best way to lose weight is natural, healthy, simple, and best of all it's free. Lower your caloric intake while at the same time raise the number of calories you burn through exercise.
If you just do exercise and think you're going to lose the weight you need to think again. You are going to fight an uphill battle. Likewise, if you don't add more physical activity chances are you won't be able to eat little enough to make a difference. Combine the two as part of a normal, sustainable routine to take off the weight and keep off the weight.
Are you looking for an easy way to cut down on the calories you consume without having to by expensive prepackaged foods? Cut down on your portion size. That's what you need to do. You can eat what you like to eat, but you need to reduce how much of it you eat. Find out the food values of what you usually eat and cut back the portions to a point that is less than what you would burn on a regular day.
Instead of drinking pop and fruit juices water can become your beverage of choice. by doing this alone you can cut up to ninety thousand calories a year from your diet. Or, if you like tea or coffee drink those. The caffeine in regular coffee and tea helps speed the metabolism and that means burning calories.
If you think that exercising 5 time a week is going to do the trick you need to think again. You should be working up a sweat doing some form of strenuous exercise every day. And you should do no less than thirty minutes of it. Kick that up a notch with extra physical movement such as parking further from the office or stores for a short walk, using stairs instead of elevators, and using hand tools for daily or weekly chores.
There it is, exercise combined with free diet programs to lose weight. Live it, love it.
